Home User Guide

The purpose of this User Guide is to help you as a user get the most of this site.

This site is not just for the Programme Manager; it contains information, tools and techniques that will be useful to anyone involved with programme delivery. After reading this User Guide you should have a better understanding of how to use the site and what information it contains to support your PS PMA-related activities and learning needs.

This site is based on MediaWiki - the same software the runs the famous Wikipedia online encyclopaedia.

This User Guide is not concerned with editing Wiki pages.

If you want to get started straight away, then maybe you want to jump straight to the PS PMA Lifecycle, which has links to each of the key components that make up the method.

Basic Navigation

At any point click the "Main Page" link on the navigation bar to the left to be taken to the home page.

Use the "breadcrumb" trail at the top of each page to help navigate up and down the hierarchy. The trail is made up of 2 symbols : takes you to the home page, and allows you to move up and down the hierarchy.

You'll also notice that most pages (but not this one) has a thumbnail to the top right with a selection of links to it's right. The thumbnail that appears is context sensitive, that is what appears is determined by the page you are viewing.

All pages (including this one) are in at least one "category". A category is a grouping of related pages. There can also be categories within categories - these are known as "sub-categories". You should see that this is also be a useful tool for navigation. Check the foot of each page to see whch categories it's in, and click to see the other pages in that category.

The Site Map is a category that is an alphabetic listing of all the pages that make up this site. You can easily get to the site map by clicking the link at the very bottom of any page.

Getting Started

Depending on what you want to get out of the site, or what your programme experience is, or even what role you are performing in the programme, you may want to approach this site through one of the different views that can be used to organise and present the information. The following views are available. Click on the image to be taken to that view.
